Holiday
Sorry that I haven't written for so long, but I have been very busy lately. I spent the last week in Italy. The weather was great, and I ate pizza almost every day. We spent some hours in Venice, but the hotel was in Jesolo.

..that Eniko Mihalik is Hungarian?
She was born in Békéscsaba, Hungary. She won the Hungarian Elite Model Look and debuted in 2006 at the fall Chanel couture show in Paris. Walked the spring Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani shows in Milan, walked the fall Betsey Johnson, Diane Von Furstenberg, Isaac Mizrahi, and Marchesa shows, among others, in New York. She became one of the faces of Gucci, alongside Lily Donaldson and Abbey Lee. Appeared in editorials for French Vogue, for W and Japanese Vogue.

In fact, it proved a bit of an elastic theme that at times meandered off-script. Of course the well-known Lara Stone was on the runway as well as Tanya Dziahileva and Sasha Pivovarova.
Pretty (but not too saccharine) black, lacy, ruffled dresses. Not bad, but I wanted something more compelling from Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.

Armani Privé et Chanel
His show, cast in monochrome with glinting highlights of silver, focused on jackets with rounded pagoda shoulders over softly pleated pants with an easy elegance about them. Too sophisticated for me.
The Chanel couture for Fall, shown in the Grand Palais on a stage set with giant white N° 5 bottles, had a comparatively toned-down atmosphere. His all-white couture show in January was perfect, but I think it's also genious!
